MORE ABOUT HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

Frequently Asked Questions

I see play therapy clients in person only, as younger children benefit most from hands-on, experiential work in the therapy room.

For teens and adults, I offer virtual sessions for ages 12 and up, providing a flexible and accessible option that still offers meaningful connection and support.

I also offer hybrid sessions for clients who benefit from a mix of in-person and online appointments, allowing you to choose what works best for your schedule, comfort, and needs.

  • Your first session is all about getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your concerns, your goals, and what you’re hoping to change or heal. I’ll ask questions to learn more about your history, your current challenges, and what support looks like for you.

It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for my style, ask questions, and make sure you feel comfortable. Together, we’ll begin creating a plan tailored to your needs so you leave the session with clarity, support, and a sense of direction.

My goal is for your first session to feel safe and collaborative—an inviting start to your healing process.

  • The length of therapy looks different for everyone. It depends on your goals, what you’re working through, and the pace that feels right for you. Some people come in with a specific concern and feel relief in a shorter period of time, while others benefit from longer-term support to create deeper, lasting change.

During our work together, we’ll regularly check in about your progress and adjust your treatment plan as needed. You’re never “locked in” — therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels supportive, sustainable, and aligned with your goals.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum. Over time, we can shift to biweekly or monthly as you start feeling more confident and supported. We’ll make that decision together based on your needs.

  • A strong therapeutic relationship is essential. If for any reason I’m not the right match, I’ll gladly help you find someone who is. You deserve to feel comfortable and supported.
